Wilson’s Woods Park is operated by Department of Parks, Recreation, and Conservation center of Westchester County. The Wilson’s Woods Park is the oldest parks in the region. The park is spread over 9 hectares (23 acres) of land. It has all the amenities and facilities for you to indulge in.

At the Wilson’s Woods Park, you can enjoy fishing, swimming, ice skating, and hiking. The park is well known for its large swimming pool and a beautiful two-story bathhouse. The waterpark is also known as Willson’s Waves, which is complete with a wave pool where you can easily surf waves and then splash downward on a 5.5-meter (18-foot) high water slide.

There are also beautiful cascades and fountains in the water playground. You can easily relax on the spray deck. It is also called an aquatic playground. There are water slides, a splash pad, a small pool and a play area for kids. The only requirement to get an entry into the Wilson’s Woods Park is to get a Park Pass which can be purchased from the park and other locations in the county.

The Wilson’s Woods Park is the best place for a picnic! The park also has separate areas for picnicking and fishing. The park has reserved areas, especially for picnic lovers. You can also plan to come for the picnic along with a group and can do advance reservations. The Wilson’s Woods Park has total three picnic areas, which can easily accommodate around 75 people.

Hunt’s Woods is located 2 kilometers (1.3 miles) south of Burlington on Highway 61. Hunt’s Woods is around 23 hectares (58 acres) of the forest. There is a timber and woodland management demonstration area, which demonstrates to landowners the importance of maintaining the property from environmental aspects.

The Hunt’s Woods has a large number of trails which go through wildlife habitats. The Hunt Woods is a well known and favorite park for hikers and wildlife enthusiasts. The place also has a unique 0.4-hectare (1 acre) Porter Cemetery with headstones which are from the 18th century.
