15. Observe the stars at Fox Observatory
This is a small observatory hidden in a county park. The entrance is free after hours and so is the observatory. It gets busy on nights when special events happen. It is open on Saturdays from sunset to midnight. It’s managed by a group called South Florida Amateur Astronomers Association and a few of the members set up their telescopes outside of the observatory in the grass by the parking lot. The actual observatory is small with two large telescopes and the volunteers will guide guests to step on a small ladder to view the sky through the telescopes.
