Waxahachie is in the heart of Ellis County and this region has its own non-profit organization that is trying to maintain the history of the county. The Ellis County Museum is stored in a 19th-century building and in the center of Waxahachie and has exhibits from the area since the creation of the US (sometimes even older) and tries to encourage the local people to either search or work about preserving the history of the area.

Screams is a unique theme park about Haloween, that will make you literally scream in fear and excitement. This park is addressed to people over the age of 16 and hosts mythical characters, historical figures, movie heroes and zombies. Actual actors work there and their job is to make you scream in fear and engage you in various scenarios and games. It is a really uncommon way to celebrate Haloween!

The trail goes around beautiful scenery that combines nature with old abandoned buildings on the side that resemble the previous centuries. Pop’s Burger Stand is a classic option for the residents of Waxahachie. The only problem is that the burgers are so great that every time it makes it really difficult to choose only one. And it is only one since they are so big and juicy! The restaurant has a vintage ambiance and the staff is really polite and seems to be enjoying their job. It is a great place to visit with your family and friends. The locals prefer the El Camino burger, but as we already said, it’s a tough choice.
