Head on to the Texas Hill Country to check out a ranch dating back to 1850. The ranch serves as an angora goat, sheep, and cattle operation. It provides Mouflon hunting, coupled with an aggressive wildlife management program. The ranch has received the Texas Forest Service conservationist award.

10. National Museum of the Pacific War
Just 9 miles (14 km) from Luckenbach in Texas is the National Museum of the Pacific War. Previously known as the Nimitz Museum, the unique attraction focuses mainly on the US military Pacific Campaign. The destination is recognized as a superior military museum. Make a day of it, as there’s so much to see. The museum has thousands of photographs.
Some of the exhibits include personal items with notes about them, which makes the soldiers real to visitors. Spread over three buildings, they provide information on pre-war, actual war and post-war. There’s even a Japanese Peace Garden.
