Established in 1991, this homey bar and grill is owned by the Carrillo Brothers who are from Guadalajara. They delight diners with original offers like Chile Relleno and Chicken Diablo. It’s a place for great food that is friendly to the pocket. The dinner and lunch menu includes chimichanga, chicharrones and queso Blanco, and quesadillas, among others.

Grab a pint here in case you don’t know what to do in Magnolia, TX, just yet! This local brewery produces distinctive local Texas ales that are tasty, hoppy and quaffable. The secret formula lies in using the raw whole cone hops for bittering, flavoring and for the aroma, but dry hopping in brews. Nothing is wasted, instead the spent grain is fed to a local dairy farmer’s cows and the spent hops is used in the beer.

Located in the heart of downtown Magnolia, Texas, the Historic Depot complex consists of The Magnolia Depot Museum, a pavilion, the historic office and Barber Shop of the late Dr. Ware, an antique sawmill, the Houston Area Blacksmith Association facility and a caboose. It is open most weekends from 1-5pm, with free admission, and visitors can learn of Magnolia’s history here.

5. High Meadow Ranch Golf Club
At High Meadow Ranch Golf Club, you can improve on your golf game; it has a routing consisting of three six-hole loops. Unity Park is an award-winning municipal park and wildlife reserve. This 30-acre (0.12 square kilometer) park boasts a popular event venue, a splash pad, a skateboarding park, a tennis court and playground for younger children. Since 2016, the farmer’s market on Tamina has been a great hangout place for the community.
