Nestled in the midst of the heart-shaped 11 square kilometers (4 square miles) land, Mandaluyong is a city located directly east of Manila. This side of the metro used to be a swampy area that had undergone stagnation. But with the belief and help from its local and foreign investors, Mandaluyong is now one of the leading industrial and commercial hubs in the National Capital Region.

The stagnant area is now home to the metro’s industrial giants and business conglomerates. It now brags of its high-class amenities, luxurious hotels, commercial centers, high-rise offices and condominiums. Hence, the metro’s heart of the golden triangle is now known as the “New Tiger” of Metro Manila which offers you hip activities that you would want to indulge in when visiting the place.

1. Have some fun over a board game

It’s never too late to spend time with the children or even with your friends and participate in some “off the hours” fun with mind-boggling challenges on a board. Tobey’s Game Cafe allows you to play with your food for free. You just have to order some food from the menu and you get to choose from the 200 or more board games for both kiddies and adults.

Board games like Ticket to Ride, Stone Age and Puerto Rico are the most favored. These games are best played with a Belgian waffle, which would cost you PHP 100-200 (USD 2-4) depending on the filling. And you can have ice cream or milk tea with your meal as well. Since the place is a bit small and cozy, you come in on a first come, first serve basis. So pick the time and get a spot at Tobey’s.

Experience this once again at the Trampoline Park Zero Gravity Zone. A time at the Trampoline will cost you about 320 PHP (6.42 USD). Everyone in the area is required to wear thick socks that have a rubberized sole.

But if you don’t have this, you can easily get one for 80 PHP (1.61 USD) at the counter. A briefing is normally given on how to jump. But since the heart rate goes up if you indulge in this kind of activity, it is advisable that you have yourself checked before you engage.
