Located in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in Warren County on the shores of Lake George, Queensbury NY was once a popular hunting and fishing area for the Iroquois. Today, Queensbury continues to offer a tremendous amount of recreation opportunities for people of all ages. The town is noted for its amusement parks, golf courses, downhill and cross-country ski trails. The Warren County Bike Path runs from Lake George through Queensbury to Glens Falls and is a gem of the area. There are a lot of amazing activities to enjoy while at the Great Escape. From pulse pounding roller coaster rides to dipping into the Splashwater Kingdom to just watching the cool entertaining shows to simply enjoying the sumptuous food at their different restaurants or shopping for great souvenirs in their souvenir shops. Pirates Cove Adventure was voted as one of the “Best Miniature Golf Courses in the Capital Region” in Queensbury. 10. Hudson River Park

The 18-hectare (44-acre) Hudson River Park was established in 1998. It has a 10-kilometer (6-mile) stretch of the Hudson River with swimming prohibited. It is open seasonally from April to October during daylight hours. It has a basketball court, two pickle ball courts, a softball field, portable rest rooms, a picnic shelter with a cooking grill, a fishing dock, and a playground.
