2. 2. Chill at Borrough Park
Borrough Park is a 320 acre (130 hectare) park with lake-front views that offers a number of hiking and biking trails as well as some fishing opportunities. It houses a huge sports field, five playgrounds, a picnic area, over 8 miles (13 kilometres) of nature trails, an observation deck and a 7 acre (3 hectare) fishing lake. Unfortunately, swimming, boating, canoeing and kayaking are not allowed on the lake. The park also has a dog park and a barbecue pavilion with a seating capacity of 250 people.

3. 3. Shop away for antiques and clothing
A host of quaint shops and antique stores can be found in Tomball, each with an assortment of rare collectables that will allow you to make a one-of-a-kind addition to your existing collections. 4. 4. Don't miss out on the historic Train Depot
You can expect to catch some of Tomball’s annual events hosted at the Train Depot, such as the famous Tomball German Heritage Festival and the Tomball Texas Music Festival. Explore train-related memorabilia, art and antiques. There is a model railroad and tours are available on the weekends from noon to five. The premises also has a gazebo, which is a great place for a small picnic or just for photo opportunities.

5. 5. Visit the beautiful parks
Make a trip to Spring Creek Park, a 114 acre (46 hectare) park with massive tall pines and open fields for Frisbee or picnics. The park has a lit basketball pavilion, an unlit softball area, two lit tennis courts, as well as a sand volleyball court and an archery range. There are three campsites, eight RV/camper hookups and one primitive camping area as well, with barbecue grills and washroom/shower facilities. Additionally, there are also nature trails and fishing opportunities.

6. 6. Tomball Museum Center

The museum houses a collection of beautifully restored homes and other buildings built by some of Tomball’s earliest residents. There is the Griffin Memorial House, built by early Texas lumberman Eugene Pilot in 1860 and also the 1895 Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, both of which provide an up-close look at what life was like here for early settlers.

7. 7. Pick your own fresh fruit at Matt Family Orchard
This 40 acre (16 hectare) farm, owned and operated by the Matt family, offers Asian dates, persimmons, pears, pumpkins, blackberries and blueberries, all of which can be picked on site. The fruit is sold by the pound, so fill your containers as high as you like. Locally produced honey and fruit spreads are also available at the farm store. Tours are available as well, but only by reservation.

The Rob Fleming Aquatic Center is a water park with a resort-style pool, a splash area and a host of fun slides. It houses an interactive play area with a 150-gallon (567 litre) dump bucket and a 500" long lazy river as well as a two-story flume slide.
