This recreation center in Texas offers axe-throwing activities with the guidance of their trained ‘axeperts.’ Spend the day flinging axes into a wooden target and try to hit the bullseye as much as possible. You can even let out some profanity or throw at silhouettes while you’re at it – anything to let you have a blast!
The place allows children 10 and up to play, as long as there’s parental consent and supervision. It also accepts private events, birthday parties, and team-building activities.

2. Lake Weatherford
Impounded in 1957, Lake Weatherford is a great place to visit for outdoor relaxation and recreation. It is home to the country’s longest floating boardwalk, which spans just a little under a mile. Some things to do here are taking lovely walks across the boardwalk, reading books, and watching birds. The property also offers The Weatherford Marina, which comes with a boat ramp and courtesy docks. All boat types can be accommodated by the improved boat ramp. Open all year, this area requires launch fees.
With a variety of aquatic species, ranging from crappies to largemouth basses, Lake Weatherford is a must-visit spot for anglers.

3. Miss B's Antiques & Collectibles

Trinkets and quaint items await visitors in Miss B’s Antiques & Collectibles. A mecca for vintage shoppers, this property features around 50 booths that display a wide array of family treasures and memorabilia, all neatly organized for visitors to browse through. There are also souvenirs and other collectibles available that make for commemorative presents!
Located on Main Street, this vintage shop offers plenty of parking spaces for visitors. There are also food shops and eateries within walking distance of the property for a quick recharge after shopping.

4. Chandor Gardens
In 1936, famous portrait artist Douglas Chandor began the construction of the Chandor Gardens, a 3.5-acre (1.4 hectare) garden designed and inspired by formal English gardens and ancient Chinese designs and architecture. The garden is located in the historic Weatherford district, approximately 25 miles (40 kilometres) from Fort Worth, Texas. The garden is not the only attraction that visitors can view during their stay, either - there is also nearby Chandor mansion to explore.

5. Clark Gardens

The Chandor Gardens are not the only garden open to the public in Weatherford. The Clark Gardens are also a popular destination. Experience the beautiful horticulture and design of the garden, which features beautiful seasonal blooms in the spring, summer and fall. In addition to the breathtaking flowers, guests can experience the splendour of waterfalls and different bird species. 6. Splash Kingdom Wild West

7. Holland Lake Park
Centrally located in Weatherford is Holland Lake Park. Have a relaxing day at the park and take a leisurely walk around the nature trail, which has concrete walkways. After your walk, take a break and replenish with a delicious picnic, or visit the Double Log Cabin and learn more about Weatherford’s history. The cabin was built in the mid 1800’s. Holland Lake Park also has a lake that is perfect for fishing. Fishermen have caught anything from Blue Catfish, Channel Fish, Bass and Perch to Trout. 8. The Museum of the Americas
Have you always wanted to learn about Native American history? Then come to The Museum of the Americas. The Museum of the Americas tries to educate the public and nurture an understanding of indigenous culture in America, through their history and art. Explore indigenous artefacts from the 19th and 20th centuries and experience the rich history of Native Americans across the country.

9. The Doss Heritage and Culture Center

Built in 2006, the Doss Heritage and Culture Center features exhibits on the culture and history of Parker County and Texas. The museum features the Cartwright Gallery, which boasts three different exhibition areas that include rotating art from the Weatherford Arts Association’s artist of the month exhibit. The second area includes a bison skeleton as well as the history of the bison and the third gallery includes the permanent exhibit “Settling the Frontier”. The Heritage Gallery features permanent exhibits on the Native Americans, early settlement and cattle drivers. Tours are offered for 3.00 USD per person. Museum admission is free.

10. The Parker County Courthouse
While visiting Weatherford, you may come across many examples of historic homes and architecture, with the Parker County Courthouse being one of them. It is also one of the most visited historic buildings and was awarded a Texas Historical Marker in 1964. The courthouse has a long history of being built and rebuilt due to fires. The fourth and most current version of the courthouse was built in 1887. Many visitors come to admire its grand, French Empire architectural style, which was built from limestone quarried from Parker County. Tours of the courthouse are available upon request.
