I visited Sanjay Gandhi National Park on one of my school trips, and it was an amazing experience. My first tip would be to wear a full-sleeved shirt, long pants, and comfortable and camouflaged clothes instead of loud and blingy outfits. You'll have to walk and at times even trek depending on your trail, so wear comfortable shoes. Carry sufficient water, snacks, a hat, a diary, insect repellent, and a pen. Here, you'll find exotic butterflies and birds and even click pictures. Before the trail, you will be briefed about it and the dos and don'ts.

The whole experience was very peaceful and informative, and I highly recommend this place to every nature lover. Entry charges are minimal and below 60 INR (0.72 USD).

The main entrance of Sanjay Gandhi National Park is located on the Western Express Highway WEH and it's just 1 km away from Borivali station. You can easily hire an auto from the station and there are also several buses plying on this route. Since, it's located in a residential area, you can easily find an Airbnb close to the park!
