Lakeview Campsite is right by Hamlin Lake, a popular destination for fishing enthusiasts. It’s also just a short distance away from the Manistee National Recreation Area and Ludington State Park, both of which feature hiking and biking trails. The latter also features its own beach, giving another option besides the campsite’s swimming pool if you wish to take a dip. Those who are traveling with kids will appreciate the fact that there are playgrounds in the area where they can take their little ones. There are also basketball and volleyball courts, as well as designated areas to play horseshoes and tetherball.

This is a great option for those who want to try out glamping, as this campsite does not just allow guests to bring their home on wheels, it also gives them the opportunity to enjoy access to creature comforts such as a hot tub (both indoor and outdoor), a fitness center, and a video game room.In terms of outdoorsy activities, you can try out fishing or paddle boating in the area, or just enjoy the warmth from the fire pit. There are also designated spaces for indoor and outdoor games. Rates depend on the season.

This property’s name is actually a bit of a misnomer, as it does more than just accommodating RV hookups. It also has several cabins and cottages for rental. This property provides the full glamping experience: besides giving guests access to WiFi and cable TV, it also allows them to have access to a heated pool and spa, a game room, and laundry facilities. Forgot to see to your stove before you headed to the campsite? Don’t worry, because propane refills are offered here. This campground has plenty of space - it has 56 sites available for tents and RVs - but interestingly enough, this is actually not the main selling point of this site. Instead, travelers head over here to try their hand at disc golf. Ice and firewood are available, depending on the season, to help keep guests comfortable during their stay. If you’re traveling with someone who has mobility issues, you’ll be pleased to know that the bath house, the shower, and the restrooms are handicap-accessible.

If you’re planning to bring Fido camping with you, consider this dog-friendly campsite. Located right by Lake Michigan, Buttersville Campground is a state-licensed campground that features a beach where you can go swimming, fishing, and kayaking. It is open seasonally from May 1 to October 15. Do call before heading there to make a reservation and book the perfect accommodation.

You’ll have beautiful greenery as your surrounding area, complete with trekking trails that you can take if you want to do some exploring. Kids, meanwhile, can have fun at the playground. Kibby Creek Campground is between Ludington and Pentwater, just a short drive away from Lake Michigan. You can go swimming there, or on the pool at the campsite. You can also go fishing in the area, and there’s also a basketball court and a shuffle board to keep you and your party amused. Laundry services are available on-site as well.
