The city has many unique natural features around, including multiple lakes like the Watson and Willow Lakes. 1. Point of Rocks RV Park and Campground

Right in between the beautiful Watson Lake and Willow Lake sits Point of Rocks RV Park and Campground, a large campsite that can accommodate all your RV needs! You can hook up your RV to the electricity, water, and sewer provided on the site. There is Wi-Fi access here, along with good TV reception. Looking to connect with nature? You can hike the trails that lead to Watson Lake, where you can then boat or catch some fish - there is a boat ramp in the nearby Watson Lake Park. Please note that there are no tent sites open at the moment, so, do plan accordingly.

2. Pine Lawn Ranch

If being close to the city is still a priority for you, then Pine Lawn Ranch is the place to camp out! Sitting less than a mile (1.6km) west of the town center, the campground is easily accessible from many of the town’s sights and sounds. The property is surrounded by trees, giving it a more forest-like appearance, and the structures are designed like the historic city center. The RV parking spots have access to power and water. The camp is limited to visitors aged 55 and older; and also for safety reasons, rentals here are only for monthly stays.

3. Yavapai Campground at Granite Basin

Nestled in the deep pine forests of the Granite Basin is Yavapai Campground, a relatively small but private campsite northwest of town. RVs can be hooked up to power here, and there are common faucets for your water supply. Each site also has its own fire ring, picnic table, and tent pad, so you won’t have to trouble yourself with setting up. Multiple trails will allow you to make your own adventures and observe all the different flora and fauna that the forest has to offer. Lastly, you can hike up the road to marvel at the Granite Mountain and the Granite Basin Lake.

At the heart of the city is the Shady Acres Mobile Home Park, an 85-spot campsite that emulates a nature park, thanks to all the trees and shrubs. You can hook up your RV into power and water systems available. There are provisions for a campfire and picnic too! Right beside the park is a mall, with a whole host of restaurants, and a supermarket that ensures you won’t have to worry about your next dinner. You can also venture up the trail to view some interesting petroglyphs.

5. Lynx Campground

The brilliant water of Lynx Lake draws many campers to the campgrounds each year. Visitors can fish, kayak, hike, and even just chill by the lakeside for most of the year. The campground itself has over 30 spots for RVs, and six common bathrooms. Each campsite has a table, fire ring, and even spots for two tents! There is a boat ramp on the south side of the lake, while on the north side is the restaurant. The Lynx Lake Cafe serves all the local favorites, including fish fry and steaks. The cafe also has a store and a marina, where you can buy souvenirs and rent boats to traverse the lake.

6. White Spar Campground

If you want a more tranquil place to camp out, consider White Spar Campground, just 3 miles (4.8km) south of the city center. At a mile above sea level, the grounds boast very cool weather and a rich forest cover. Some of these trees include pine, oak, and multiple bushes, serving as a perfect backdrop for a picnic. With over 50 camping spots, there isn’t too much competition happening. Common restrooms, dumpsters, and water outlets are also present. You can hike the forest trails, and reach the sparkling Goldwater Lakes just a couple miles east of the campsite.

7. Willow Lake RV & Camping Park

Located north of the city proper, Willow Lake RV & Camping Park is a well-equipped campsite that can host even the most modern of campers, with as many amenities and conveniences as you need. Standing a mile above sea level is Hilltop Campground, a rich green campsite that sits in the heart of the forest trail. The campsite has 37 spots for RVs, and a few more for tents. There are multiple bathrooms and faucets in the common area, so you’re not competing for water and some relief. You can even catch fish in the nearby Lynx Lake, or just take a boat across the water. Hiking trails and bird-watching are some other activities you can also do in the campgrounds. Just note that the maximum stay at the campsite is 14 days, so plan accordingly.

9. Fairgrounds RV Park

Located just outside Prescott Valley, Fairgrounds RV Park is a great long and short-term camping ground for any season. Right beside the park is the Arizona Downs racecourse, where some serious thoroughbred horses are put to the test. You can hook up your RV easily, as there are well-defined slots for different sizes of vehicles. Propane refills, internet, and even telephone services are available too, so you won’t have to worry about being left out. 10. Lower Wolf Creek Campground

Sitting on the banks of the pristine Wolf Creek, this campground is a historic one in this part of Arizona. You’ll notice many stone markers around - these were erected by workers in the late 1930s! There are multiple chairs, mounting points, and fire pits on site. There are also common bathrooms that you can use for your convenience. Finally, a short trek away from the campsite is the Lower Wolf Creek Falls, where water beautifully carves through the large rock formations - don’t forget to take some photos here.
