Hostal Los Pinos is located in Zahora, a small town situated in the South of Spain. It is the perfect destination for tourists who wish to have a relaxing time. Its convenient location to the Zahora Beach as well as thoughtful facilities such as a swimming pool and rooftop balcony are just a few (but not all) reasons to make Hostal Los Pinos your accommodation choice. This part of Spain is home to many amazing beaches and decadent restaurants in which people come from all over the world to experience.

The hostel is spread over large area and has beautiful Andalucían buildings scattered throughout the property. These buildings are a creamy white with yellow roofs, creating a very authentic image. You will find many trees and beautiful pot plants throughout the hostel that create a peaceful atmosphere and tranquil environment.

Variety of accommodation

Hostal Los Pinos

There is a selection of accommodation types here at Hostal Los Pinos. If you are with a large group of people, there are complete houses with kitchens, washing lines and parking spaces that you can rent for longer periods of time. You can also rent apartments, chalets or single rooms depending on how luxurious you wish your stay to be.

During the high season, prices vary from around 85 – 95 EUR (94 – 105 USD) per couple a night. In the winter months, you can stay for around 40 EUR (44 USD) per couple a night . Each accommodation type offers Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, TV and a bathroom. You will be provided with towels, a good parking space and great service from the hostel staff. They will all be willing to help whenever they can.

Rooftop Balcony and the Swimming Pool

Enjoy the Spanish sun while relaxing by the salt water pool or up on the Rooftop balcony. Both places offer the opportunity to rest and rejuvenate. There is also a hydro-massage jet and hot tub situated in the pool area that can be enjoyed during the day or even at night.

Enjoy a mojito from the pool bar while you lounge around in the sun. During the summer months, the pool will close around 11pm. On the roof top balcony, look out towards the East – this will give you an amazing view of Zahora beach and the surrounding towns. If you wake up early enough you may even be able to see the sunrise. You will also find comfortable couches to lie on while you enjoy the sunshine.

Los Pinos Restaurant

The hostel restaurant is situated just beside the road. There the friendly Spanish staff will serve you traditional food including Gazpacho (cold tomato soup), potato omelette and fresh fish. If there is something in particular you would like, don’t be afraid to ask the chef as he will be more than happy to cook you something that is not on the menu. There are also many delicious Spanish wines to choose from as well as the famous Sangria (fruity cocktail). Ask your waiter for detailed explanations of each wine.

Room service is also available. During the summer months, Hostal Los Pinos holds many enjoyable events at the restaurant. Both the locals and guests get involved and have a great time together. Live music and delicious cocktails are on offer for you to enjoy. The restaurant is also available for guests to rent out for a special occasion.

Tourist activities in Zahora

Horse Trekking Through the Natural Park

The hostel staff will provide you with plenty of information on things to do in the surrounding areas. If you look in the main hotel lobby, you will find a massive wall full of brochures containing information on popular tourist activities. All activities as well as transport to nearby towns can be arranged through the hostel. I would highly recommend taking a horse trek through the Las Brenas Natural Park.

Zahora Beach

Zahora Beach

Zahora beach is only a 10-minute walk away. Here you will find great surf waves, hot sand and amazing restaurants. This beach absolutely hums in the summer time, as there are many tourists and locals outside enjoying the sunshine. Be careful of the coral reef though; the salty blue water often disguises it. Take a 20-minute walk down the beach to see the old Trafalgar lighthouse and the African coastline in the distance.

Best time of year to visit

Los Pinos in the Summer

I would highly recommend visiting Hostal Los Pinos during the summer months (June, July, August), as this is when the weather is best. As Southern Spain is a very seasonable place, many restaurants and tourist attractions close over the winter months. However, you will need to book at least 2 months in advance, as Hostal Los Pinos is a very popular place to stay in the summer.

Soak in the Spanish culture

Hostal Los Pinos is the perfect place for anyone wanting to relax and enjoy the Spanish culture. You will need to spend at least a week here to enjoy everything this hostel has to offer.
