Instead of being turned into a regular memorial park, this place was turned into a skate park. Carson Warner Memorial Skate Park was created because of a tragedy. On a fateful day on June 20, 1996, Carson Warner, a 14-year-old young and bubbly skateboarder, got into a deadly accident by an off-road vehicle. To commemorate this, this skate park was created to make his dream come true: To have a safe space in Healdsburg for skaters. Now, everyone - young and old - can enjoy skateboarding, biking, skating, and riding on scooters in this memorial skatepark without worrying about their safety.
