Like other cemeteries, Central City Masonic Cemetery has an eerie ambiance. It is considered one of the most haunted cemeteries in Colorado. It is said that each year on April 5 and November 1, a woman dressed in black visits the grave of a man named John E. Cameron, someone who once lived in Central City.
According to the stories that have been passed down, the cemetery has had many experiences of paranormal activity. The city was a former mining town founded in 1859 and was called the “Richest Square Mile on Earth.” The cemetery is maintained by the county and has become a popular location for the annual ghost walk tour.

2. Cheesman Park
They say restless spirits reside at Cheesman Park, which is situated near Capitol Hill in Denver. This may be true because the 81-acre (32.7-hectare) Cheesman Park was previously Mount Prospect Cemetery. Legislation in 1890 changed it into a park, but rumor has it that problems were encountered when moving the bodies of the departed. This century-old park is a fitting site for ghost-walking tours. There’s also a botanical garden where a 150-mile (241-kilometer) panoramic view can be seen from its pavilion.

5. Bronco Billy's Casino
Bronco Billy’s Casino is located along Bennett Avenue in Cripple Creek and has a total of 187 gaming machines. It also houses its own restaurant - the Steakhouse, which is regarded as one of the best in Southern Colorado. This place used to be called the Turf Club, and it was built by a man named William P. Bonbright for the city’s most successful businessmen in the 1890s. There are many reports of ghost sightings by casino employees. Among these include the ghost of a little girl named “Lily” who inhabits the bar upstairs and draws on the walls.

6. Riverdale Road, Thornton
This long stretch of highway in Thornton, Colorado is known for its share of unexplained mysteries and endless ghost rumors. Apparently, a lady in white can be seen by travelers in the middle of the night. Another popular lore is that the ghost of an angry jogger who died here haunts joggers passing the road. There’s more: bloody handprints reportedly appear on the road signs while bodies of abused slaves can be seen hanging from the cottonwood trees every time there’s a full moon. There have also been reports of “hitchhikers” lurking on the road, along with a phantom Camaro with one working headlight.
7. Molly Brown House Museum
Molly Brown House Museum used to be a grand Victorian mansion that was converted into a museum. It is also recognized as the state’s most historic and, some say, most haunted Capitol Hill mansion. The house was built in the 1880s and was originally owned by Isaac and Mary Large. It was constructed in the style of Classic Queen Anne and Richardsonian Romanesque. After the silver market crash, the mansion was sold to James Joseph and Margaret “Molly” Tobin Brown in 1894. Brown was famous for being one of the passengers who survived the Titanic’s sinking in 1912.
One of the highlights of the museum during the Halloween season is the Victorian Horrors event. They set up a theater and invite local actors to perform dramatic readings of the most popular and most terrifying tales from the Victorian era such as “The Raven”, “Dracula” and “Frankenstein”.

8. Highlands Ranch Mansion and Park
Paranormal investigators are said to have found this place haunted. They reported hearing noises like banging when the room was empty and seeing strange glowing. This historic mansion and park underwent renovation in 2012 and has since opened its doors for private events and tours. Weddings, auction fundraisers, business meetings, birthday parties, and other celebrations are held at this mansion that sits on a 250-acre (101-hectare) piece of ranchland. Back in the early 1900s, the property was the hub of Arapahoe Hunt Club, one of the oldest active hunt clubs in the United States at the time. This spot is located some 20 miles (32 kilometers) south of downtown Denver and just a 45-minute drive from Denver International Airport.

9. Third Bridge, Aurora
Third Bridge in Aurora, Colorado is said to be a place where many tragedies have happened. This dreaded spot in the middle of a dirt road surrounded by gnarly trees was supposedly the location of the Hungate massacre that wiped out an entire family of Native Americans. The sound of Indian war drums can be heard from the carnage site, according to some stories. Thrill-seekers flock to this area to experience paranormal activities.
