Towering over the city at 512 metres (1679 feet) lies this beautiful mountain that promises a wonderful hiking adventure for all levels. The top offers spectacular panoramic views of the city, as far as the eye can see, and on the other side, you can spot the coastal line as well. Cathedral del Sangrat Cor lies at the very top of the mountain, and it offers a glimpse into the mesmerising history of the locale and displays its lovely stonework architecture. You can opt for the Barcelona Bus Turistic or the metro line to get to this mountain. The trek itself is quite long, so be ready! Tibidabo Mountain boasts an actual amusement park towards the top. You can imagine the spectacular, almost dizzying views you are bound to see while seated on a Ferris wheel on top of a mountain. The tram is a local favourite, as it looks like it has been picked out from the past. The rustic and charming appearance makes it a wonderful experience for kids and adults alike.
3. Coll de Can Tripeta
Another great hiking trail is Coll de Can Tripeta, a long winding trail that offers an easy hiking experience with amazing views once you reach the end. This hiking trail is perfect if you are travelling with your family or have any children with you. With inclines that are not steep at all and a steady path, this makes for a great trail. It is one of the lesser-known gems of Barcelona, so you are sure to find some privacy, peace, and quiet here. Bring a cosy and soft blanket and some snacks and beverages in a cooler, and you are all set for a lovely picnic once you reach the top. Perry Tours
Hello! My name is Perry, originally from the heart of Belgium, famed for its waffles and fries. However, it wasn't just the call of the Spanish sun that brought to Barcelona, but rather a captivating encounter with a German-Uruguayan beauty in Thailand. This led to the birth of our son in Ibiza, and eventually, more than two decades ago, I found myself in the vibrant city of Barcelona. My passion for meeting people from different nationalities and cultures, coupled with an insatiable appetite for adventure, has empowered me to transform ordinary days into extraordinary stories. In 2020, I embarked on a new journey by starting my own sightseeing company, showcasing the wonders of Barcelona to people from all over the world. With nine years of guiding experience in this magnificent city, I am thrilled to share its beauty and hidden gems with you.

One of the most popular trekking destinations in all of Barcelona, Abbey of Montserrat is frequented by thousands of tourists from across the globe every year. The main attraction to this trek is the breathtaking monastery dedicated to the Virgin of Montserrat. This place is home to about 70 monks and is truly a place that feels pure and pious. There is also a museum that you can check out, where you can witness testaments to the rich history of Catalan. Keep walking from the monastery and you will reach the topmost accessible part of the mountain, Sant Jeroni, where you can take in the incredible panoramic view of the greenery and the buzzing urban life in the far distance. You can sit here and stare at the horizon for as long as you please, for this is bound to be an unforgettable experience for you.

6. Montjuïc
Last but not least, we highly recommend the extremely popular trekking trail at Montjuïc. This is a popular hill that attracts a ton of visitors because of its beautiful views, the military museum filled with cool artefacts, and the huge Palau Nacional and Barcelona Pavillion. Montjuïc is loosely translated as “Jewish Mountain”, and it is right in front of Tibidabo Mountain. The military museum is truly a must-visit destination, and so is Poble Espanol. Poble Espanol is a fun-filled experience with workshops and handicraft stores where you can easily spend an afternoon shopping for trinkets and souvenirs to take home. Finally, towards the evening, you can head on over to Magic Fountain, a place that is always a hit with kids.
