We all know that the Empire State Building is one of New York City’s main landmarks, but apart from the hotels in Times Square, which other hotels give you the best viewing vantage point? The building stands at 1,454 feet (443.2 meters) tall and can be seen all around New York. For many, an iconic photograph of New York City is that of the Empire City with its full lights on. Did you know that in 1976 the lights were installed in honor of various occasions and organizations, nowadays though the LED system can display 16 million colors, which can change instantaneously? So, if you want to view this amazing sight from the comfort of your hotel room or a hotel with rooftop pool, scroll down this list of hotels with views of the Empire State Building.

1. The Archer

Want a guaranteed full view of the Empire State Building? Head up the 22 floors of this hotel and you’ll be in their rooftop bar called Skylark, which has a fantastic view for enjoying the Empire State Building and New York City skyline. This boutique hotel treats you well with artistically designed rooms, including art pieces hand selected from Archers’ travels and such comfortable beds you’ll be looking for an excuse not to get up! The bedrooms themselves also have fantastic views over the New York Streets and the Empire State Building but be sure to specify this room view when booking online.

Located on Madison Avenue, the New York Edition hotel is what we would call a “splash the cash” holiday affair. The best view of the Empire State Building is from the top levels of this historic 41-story clock tower which offers awe-inspiring 360 degree panoramic views.
