With it being the only floating flower market in the world, how could you miss Bloemenmarkt while in Amsterdam? (The answer - you can’t!) The market was established back in 1862 and it is located between Muntplein and Koningsplein in the southern canal area of the city. Stalls are located on houseboats and no matter the season, the flowers give off a wonderful, inviting scent. So, come snap your best pictures among the blooming geraniums and tulips, which are also one of the things Amsterdam is famous for. Better yet, buy a bouquet to take with you.

2. Herengracht Canal

Often considered to be the most important canal in Amsterdam, Herengracht Canal also makes for a great photo op. Trees line the banks of the canal in an aesthetic manner, while boats are docked along the sidewalks, adding further character to your pictures. 3. A'DAM Lookout

Experience a full 360°, unobstructed view of Amsterdam when you visit the A'DAM Lookout deck, which stands 20 stories in the air. All of the city is viewable from the deck, from the historic downtown district to the canals that snake their way through the city. Being attached to a brewery is a definite perk for a variety of reasons, and in this case, one of those reasons is the aesthetic that the brewery adds; the two together make for a very becoming photo. 8. Magere Brug

Built in 1934, the Magere Brug crosses the Amstel River just outside the heart of Amsterdam between Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht. The center section of the bridge is painted white and is covered in lights, making it a prime candidate for some memorable photographs. Be sure to wait around a bit, as the bridge opens multiple times a day to allow the river traffic to pass through; you may get some great pictures like this as well.

The WALL Gallery is located, unsurprisingly, in Amsterdam’s trendy art district and the gallery itself typically features up and coming artists. Just outside the front door, though, is where you’ll want to get your phone’s camera ready. Here, you’ll find WALL’s well-known mural, which reads “Wake me when I’m famous”, and it even has a bench perched in front of it for the perfect photo op.
