4. Boldt Castle & Boldt Yacht House

5. Fort Ticonderoga

It was a major victory of the American Revolution. The Marcella Sembrich Opera Museum was built in 1924 as a teaching studio for Marcella Sembrich, a famous Polish soprano. One of a few buildings from the early 20th century in northern New York that is open to the public, the museum is located on the shores of Lake George. It is popular for hosting summer concerts, films, performances, and lectures.

8. Minnewaska State Park Preserve
Once the site of two mountaintop hotels, the Minnewaska State Park Preserve is a 22,275-acre (9,015 ha) preserve that boasts stunning views and uncrowded trails. You’ll get good views of the nearby Catskill Mountains and the park is mostly used for hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, swimming, and picnicking. 9. Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum
Located in Livingston Manor, the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum is dedicated to preserving the heritage of fly fishing, molding future fly fishers, and taking care of its fly fishing environment.
