If you’re in Amsterdam and want to enjoy some of the city’s entertainment options, then head over to Volkshotel. Here, you’ll find the cool and funky Canvas, which serves as a rooftop cocktail lounge, club, and events space. If you’re planning on spending time on the terrace while enjoying a drink and taking in the city views, you won’t need to make a reservation. However, you’ll need to book beforehand if you need to reserve a table inside the premises.

Similarly to Canvas, Floor 17 is a multipurpose venue that features a restaurant, sky bar, and rooftop terrace. It features a clean and minimalist style with plenty of spaces for friends and strangers to socialize. Its sky bar is the ideal place to enjoy some cocktail shakers and the hottest DJs during the weekends, while the rooftop area is a good place to kick back and enjoy the city views.

It attracts a vibrant and laid back student crowd who come here to enjoy refreshing beers, affordable snacks and salads, and their favorite DJs. Keep in mind that this establishment is currently closed and will be reopening in May 2019.

A'DAM Toren, also known as Amsterdam Tower in English is one of the most exciting landmarks in the city. It’s a modern and stylish building, which hosts the Heineken Experience and also features an air swing on the rooftop. Entrance for the lookout point will set you back 12.50 EUR (4.30 USD) per adult, 6.50 EUR (7.45 USD) per child, and 5 EUR (5.70 USD) to ride the air swing. You’ll enjoy some of the most amazing views of the city and the riverside, and you can expect high service levels from the rooftop bar and restaurant.

REM Eiland is one of the more unique venues on this list due to its close resemblance to an offshore oil rig. It features a multi-deck layout with cleverly stacked components on separate decks to make it spacious. There’s a bar on deck 2, a restaurant and a studio on deck 3, and a rooftop bar on deck 4. The rooftop bar is open when weather conditions are good and during the summer months, and is a great spot to enjoy aperitifs while chilling out.

A beautiful rooftop terrace and open-air exhibition await lucky visitors who take the time to visit the NEMO Science Museum. The rooftop area resembles a piazza but with an educational and modern twist as there are several interactive sculptures that are part of the Energetica exhibition. Here, visitors will learn about sustainable energy, and they can enjoy stunning views of Amsterdam. The entrance fee is 17.50 EUR (20 USD) for visitors older than 4, and 8.75 EUR (10 USD) for visitors carrying a University Card, and free passes for various other groups as stated on their website.
