Located in Torrington, CT, this skatepark is good for you, especially if you are a beginner at skateboarding. The park area is spacious and all the ramps and obstacles have been well maintained. It features a mini ramp, which is linked to two quarters on either side. The corner extension of the park has a bowl that ends at an inclined lip. Moreover, there’s also a quarter pipe, speed ramp, pyramid, and a centered rail. Plus, if you are visiting with family and kids, you can get a portable picnic table on the site. There is also a beautiful little park around this skatepark where you can picnic and spend a lazy afternoon with your loved ones.

But, the feel of Alexander Jordan Jamieson Memorial Skate Park is different, as if adventure and thrill are in the air. This is undoubtedly one of the nicest places to skate in the city, especially for kids. This concrete park has numerous street obstacles and a nice huge bowl to add to the fun. If you are bringing your kids along, make sure to go early in the day before the crowd increases. But if you are going solo or visiting with friends, you can just hop in at any time during its opening hours. And when you visit, don’t forget to bring your protective gear for safety.

Sitting within the premises of Dickinson Memorial Park in Newtown borough, this particular skatepark serves both skaters and bikers alike. It is equipped with ample challenging obstacles to engage skaters. The bowls and skate boxes are super fun. There are multiple stair sets and rails too. Suitable for all skateboarding enthusiasts, this is one of the more crowded skateparks in Newtown. But the space is ample, so there is no problem even if you arrive a little later in the day. Besides, Dickinson Memorial Park itself has tennis courts and a playground for kids. All in all, this is a fun place if you seek adventure and fun at the same time.

4. Willie Pep Skate Park

Dedicated in 2011, Willie Pep Skate Park is located in Middletown, CT. It is a small 135-square-foot (12.5 sqm) public skatepark, which is great for kids and some quick skating sessions. If you are a skateboarding novice, this park would probably be a good place to start. It consists of some basic obstacles – a couple of skate boxes, a ramp, a half bowl, and rails, but if you are visiting with children or friends, it is a nice place to go. And what’s striking about this park is that you get to meet and speak with fellow skaters and also to witness some wild stunts they perform, thanks to its small size.

This is one of the popular skateparks in Norwich, Connecticut. It is a small park, but it is extremely neat and clean with a variety of hurdles. It features a quarter pipe, a mini ramp, a box with a couple of rails, a steep ledge, stairs, and a launch ramp. And if you love to twist and twirl, there is also a deep pool or bowl to try out your moves. However, the park has no lights. So, make sure you do not visit there after sundown. Otherwise, it is a great place to go with friends and family to spend some quality time together.

This is a concrete skatepark located within Sutton Park in Groton, CT. The park has been well designed and well maintained, and irrespective of the high traffic there, it shows minimal signs of wear and tear. The skatepark comprises flat rails, extensions, quarter pipes, and more. So, either visit solo or with a group of friends and have a great day. Although there are limited obstacles at this skatepark, it will keep you and your kids engaged for a good amount of time. Besides, Sutton Park itself is a great place to go for a picnic with your kids and loved ones. It has facilities like a kids’ playground and a basketball court.

It is a considerably small park, so it often becomes difficult to get enough space for skateboarding when there is a crowd around. So, if you are really serious about the sport and want to practice your moves, make sure to get there early so as to avoid the crowd. There are not many obstacles here except some ramps, skate boxes, and rails, but it is fun when there are fewer people around. Another cute little skatepark in Connecticut, this one is located in the town of Windham. Open to the public 24 hours a day, this outdoor skatepark has a great design with well-laid-out quarters. There are numerous exciting street obstacles and several mini ramps, designed especially for kids. Right beside this skatepark are some dirt jumps for bikes. So, if you are a hardcore adventure seeker, you should not miss visiting this skatepark while in Connecticut. Bring your children along too for some fun and excitement together. 10. Graham Dickinson SPIRIT Skate Park

Inaugurated in the year 1998, Graham Dickinson SPIRIT Skate Park is in Ridgefield. The park was built to provide a safe and fun environment to Ridgefield’s local skating community. People of all age groups are allowed in this park and they also offer training courses in skateboarding. So, if you are a novice or an amateur, you can join one of their sessions and learn some basic moves. The best part is that the park’s staff is always present on-site. So, in case of an unfortunate accident or a medical emergency, you will always get immediate attention and first aid, if required.
