If you’re curious about this lesser-known emirate’s past, then you should plan a visit to Ajman Museum. It is located within an 18th-century fortress and boasts a huge collection of artefacts, manuscripts, ancient weapons, and more. However, the highlight of this museum is the pottery and funeral jewellery that dates back as far as 3000 BC. The building, which used to be the ruler’s residence, was designed in traditional Emirati architecture. Even though the fort has been renovated over the years, the management is able to maintain its original details such as the two wind towers and watchtowers.
