2. Visit Wat Cherng Talay
Wat Cherng Talay, otherwise known as Cherngtalay, is said to be the spiritual centre of Bang Tao. This has been the status of the temple for almost a century, ever since its relocation from its original site at Khao Noi. When you are at the temple, you will notice that it has been constructed in the typical Thai Buddhist design. Take note of the giant snake images that are present on your way up to the main hall. There are also paintings which depict all the good work of Buddha. If you happen to be at the temple at dusk, then you will be able to appreciate the lights along the pathways. These light poles are built in the form of kinnarees. Kinnarees are half-human and half-birdlike creatures, which frequently figure in traditional Thai tales.

3. Phuket Adventure Mini Golf Club
The Phuket Adventure Mini Golf Club is an 18-hole course on a well-manicured lawn. If you are looking to do something different from the usual beach outing, then this is one place to consider. The miniature golf course is equally challenging and entertaining, keeping everyone hooked on the game for hours. Golfers will get a chance to encounter a range of water hazards and bunkers dotted throughout the course. If you’re uncertain of your putting skills before you hit the course, you can always spend some time on the practice putting green. Feeling peckish after playing? Head to the on-site, open-air restaurant, known as the Off Course Restaurant and Bar.

4. Shopping spree in Bang Tao
As we all know, Thailand is a shopper’s paradise. Like most of Phuket, Bang Tao Beach has its share of markets and regular ‘talat nat’, or 'meeting markets’, which spring up randomly in open spaces. A wide range of things can be found at these market spaces, including strange food products like fried insects. If you are looking for some shopping of a higher scale, go to Phuket town where you can find large malls and major supermarkets like Tesco, Central Festival and Big C Phuket. Within Bang Tao, you may want to pay a visit to Canal Village, which is located in Laguna. One iconic shopping venue that shouldn’t be missed is Boat Avenue. Boat Avenue is a large shopping mall, which stands at the entrance to Laguna Phuket Resort Complex. There are several dining establishments and boutiques housed in this mall.

5. Phuket International Riding Club
This is one popular activity that many people engage in whilst at Phuket. The Phuket International Riding Club is located within the tourist complex, Laguna. If you choose to ride a horse from this club, you will get to enjoy a 9km (5.5 miles) trip along the beach. Alternatively, you can choose to ride a horse through the natural woodland. As you do this, you will also come across well-manicured golf courses. Even if you are a beginner at riding, you will be well-guided by experienced instructors. Every level of experience is catered for at this club. Rides start from 30 minutes and you can enjoy longer rides if you are feeling up to it.
