Blunt House is best known as the historic home of Dalton’s first mayor, Ainsworth Emery Blunt. It is also one of the oldest two-story homes that have been built in Dalton. After the Blunt family moved to Illinois, the house was converted into a hospital used by the Union Army. Subsequently, the house was registered as one of the historic places in the city in 1980.
