2. Visit The Tree That Owns Itself

So obscure you just have to see it, this legendary oak tree sincerely has self-sovereignty in the town, claiming, “Only God can make a tree.” Beloved by local Eufaulans, the tree was originally declared autonomous in attempts to protect it. When it was struck down by lightning in 1961 (then 200 years old), a replacement oak was planted, with the same rights.
