Think of Behlmann Park as a little gem in Florissant. You won’t really be able to find it on Google Maps, so this is basically a spot that only the locals know about. No corner of this park opens to any street, so you’re far away from the hustle and bustle of the city while still being in the city! There are a few benches for you to sit and rest, but there is no restroom here. Make sure you carry water bottles with you if you’re going to Behlmann Park—you’ll need it after you’re done playing frisbee.

Tower Court Park is not a very big park, but it does have four well-lit tennis courts. However, the main reason people visit Tower Court Park is to visit the historic cabin here—which was made in the 1850s. Basically, the claim to fame of this cabin is that it relates to the history of the early days of Florissant. Given the number of years the structure has been around for, it is definitely worth a visit. Once you’re done checking out the log cabin, you can always go play a round of tennis!

Coldwater Commons Park is basically a walking park in the city of Florissant. It has a lot of green spaces, which make a walk here very enjoyable. Mullanphy Park is known for its various sports fields and tennis courts, picnic shelters, and a picnic pavilion with a barbeque pit as well as a playground for the kids. The picnic pavilion along with the barbeque pit is for the public, so it can be used at no cost. With that being said, it is best that you go a little earlier than usual to ensure that you have the pavilion all to yourself, especially if you are a big group.

Schaefer Bend County Park is pretty spacious—it is spread across 15 acres (6 hectares). This park is famous among the locals for its greenery, which is why you must go here for an evening walk or morning jog. It was used by a family to run their business since the 1960s, but it was taken over and converted into a park that was opened to the public in 2014. A gorgeous location indeed, where you’ll definitely enjoy your stroll through nature. PS. Don’t forget to take your four-legged furry friends for a stroll at this dog-friendly venue.

24. Relax and admire nature at Spanish Land Grant Park
Spanish Land Grant Park is a really peaceful and relaxing park, which is why it should definitely be on your list of parks to visit in Florissant. On one side, there is a memorial that’s dedicated to the people who are buried in unmarked graves. As you can guess, this park is a former cemetery. However, before it was a cemetery, it was a training ground for Spanish troops! Anyway, now this gorgeous, lush green space is filled with trees, shrubs, and grass—nature at its best. A fun fact, if you look closely, you will see that some of the planted trees have been dedicated to various members of Florissant Rotary Club.
