7. Spot colourful butterflies at Williamson Park
Who doesn’t love a good walk in the park? Williamson Park is one of the prettiest parks in the United Kingdom. It’s pretty historic too. It was first built in 1791 as a makeshift church and was designed by local architect E.G Paley. The architecture is described as gothic revival, a popular architectural movement in the 1800s. 9. Climb up the granite stairs at Ashton Memorial
The history of Ashton Memorial is pretty romantic. The man who built it and the Williamson Park, Lord Ashton, dedicated the iconic memorial to his late wife Jessy.
