This trail runs along Fee Fee Creek, and as a result, it is sometimes referred to as the Fee Fee Greenway. It’s a little less than a mile long, but along this paved trail, you can enjoy the greenery, the sounds of the creek, and keep an eye out for wildlife like cardinals and hawks. And if you feel like walking more than the trail offers, you’ll be pleased to know this trail connects to Creve Coeur Park by a 2-mile (3.2-km) path along Crystal Springs Quarry Golf Club. This is a great way to not only clear your head and get some exercise, but also to experience the natural surroundings of Maryland Heights.

2. Bring your dog to Dogport Dog Park


If you’re traveling with a dog, a trip to Dogport Dog Park is a great way to let your pup have some fun and get some exercise. The park spans 4 acres (1.6 ha), and it provides a space for pups to play without leashes. There are two separate fenced areas, one for big dogs and one for small dogs, so you can relax knowing your dog will be safe and with other dogs his own size. For humans, there are some benches where you can sit and watch your dog play. Do be aware that there is a fee to use the park though, so expect to pay for membership when you arrive.

Eise Park is a neighborhood park with plenty of activities to keep you occupied. If you’re the sporty type, you can make use of the basketball court and play a game. Or if walking is more your style, there is a walking path to keep you occupied. And, of course, if you’re traveling with kids, there are loads for them to do. There are a playground and a splash pad where they can play all afternoon. We recommend bringing a picnic lunch so you can enjoy the park‘s surroundings and sit at one of the benches while you eat your food.

4. Have a picnic at Vago Park


Vago Park is another great park where you can enjoy a packed lunch. It spans 20 acres (8 ha) and offers not only picnic tables but also three pavilions that are available to rent. And when you’ve finished your meal, there are plenty of ways to exercise and play. There are three different playgrounds and a splash pad for kids to enjoy. There are also basketball courts, walking tracks, and a sand volleyball court. On a nice day, this is an excellent way to enjoy the outdoors.

This museum is housed at Creve Coeur Airport, and it has the mission of preserving and displaying antique aircraft from the Golden Age of Flight (approximately 1920-1939). The museum has about 50 aircraft on display across four hangars, and their collection is changing regularly. The Quarry at Crystal Springs sits on the site of Crystal Springs Quarry, which dates back to 1888. For example, the golf course now has a pavilion where guests can sit and relax, and the range balls are replaced each year. Creve Coeur Park dates back to the late 1800s when a local business owner offered up land for a county fair near Creve Coeur Lake. In 1945, that land was donated to the County and the park was built. Today, it offers a plethora of activities for visitors to enjoy. One of the most thrilling activities is the Treetop Adventure, where you can zip-line through the trees and enjoy beautiful views over the lake. You’ll be 45 feet (13.7m) in the area, and there will be a number of obstacles for you to navigate. For those who don’t want to go quite so high, there are loads of other activities to enjoy, including hiking trails, archery, tennis courts, and lake-based activities like fishing and boating.

Thies Family Farm has been in operation since 1885, and today still remains in the Thies family. They operate Thies Farm & Market, where visitors can stop by and pick up fresh, in-season produce. Their season starts in May with juicy strawberries, continues into the summer with sweet corn and peaches, and of course, autumn is all about pumpkins. Whilst the produce growing season is over by December, they do have a Christmas tree market up. They’ve also got all you need to start your own herb or vegetable garden.
