Nusa Ceningan is a small island, part of Bali, Indonesia, and sandwiched between Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida. The tropical island is accessible by ferry or motorcycle from Nusa Lembongan, which will bring you across the iconic Yellow Bridge. Spend a couple of days on this beautiful island, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Its variety of amazing beaches is perfect for both beach bums and the adventurous! From cliff jumping and zip-lining to hiking up a cliff, the possibilities are endless here. Of course, if relaxing on the beach all day is your thing, Nusa Ceningan is the perfect place for that, too. Read on to find out what the best things to do in Nusa Ceningan are and be sure to enjoy island life to the fullest!

1. Take in the picturesque sights of the island at Blue Lagoon

Blue Lagoon is one of the most photographed places in all of Nusa Ceningan. Emerge from the palm trees to find the bluest and most picturesque water. Walk around the beautiful coast and admire the rock formations or just sit and watch the waves crash against the shore.

For the more adventurous, try out some cliff jumping for a crazy and fun experience. There are jumps from different heights, however, do ensure that you assess the conditions, for if the tide is too high or low and the waves too big, it can be dangerous to jump. There is also a bar where you can get snacks and drinks and enjoy the views in comfort as you watch the sun set.

2. Bask in the sunlight at Secret Beach

Secret Beach is located just 1 kilometre (0.6 miles) away from the Blue Lagoon, so why not drop by after your cliff jumping session? You will be rewarded with azure blue water and beautiful palm trees dotting the white sand. The beach is also not densely populated, so it definitely lives up to its name.

On a calm day, Secret Beach offers some amazing opportunities to snorkel in the crystal clear water. However, do be aware of the shallow coral reef that covers nearly three quarters of the area, making it difficult to swim. Don’t worry though, just set up a hammock to relax while enjoying the beautiful views.

Good Tip

Le Pirate Beach is a hidden treasure tucked away from the tourist crowds. With its secluded shores and pristine turquoise waters, this private beach becomes a haven for those yearning to escape. And when I say secluded, I really do mean secluded. The resort maintains an intimate ambiance, allowing a limited number of 30 guests at a time, to ensure a peaceful and uncrowded experience. The absence of commercialization preserves its raw beauty, so there are no fans, no lights at night, and better yet, not a sound, except the waves.

Le Pirate Beach is also known for its vibrant marine life, inviting snorkelers and divers to explore its underwater wonders. Sharks are a common sight too!

The best part, it has the most jaw-dropping sunset views over the horizon and a well-lit night full of stars.

3. Cross the iconic Yellow Bridge

The Yellow Bridge is an iconic feature of Nusa Ceningan and is a must-do if you are going to or coming from Nusa Lembongan, as it is the only connection between the two islands. Though the bridge is a landmark, it also has a dark history and was named the Bridge of Love after it collapsed in 2016. It has since been rebuilt and has become a must-visit tourist attraction. At night, the bridge is covered in lights and makes for a beautiful sight.

It also has a restaurant and bar with great views and other activities, including surfing at 70,000 IDR (4.40 USD) per rental. The food at the restaurant is good and there is a huge variety of drinks available, from beer and cocktails to juices and milkshakes.
