Here are some tips for your Sharjah trip:

1. Respect Local Culture and Traditions: Sharjah is more conservative than Dubai, so it’s important to dress modestly in public, especially in traditional areas, religious sites, and government buildings.

2. Ramadan Etiquette: During Ramadan, most fast from dawn to sunset. Restaurants may have limited hours until Iftar, and it's respectful to avoid eating, drinking, or smoking in public.

3. Avoid Public Displays of Affection: Public displays of affection, like kissing or holding hands, are frowned upon in Sharjah. It's best to avoid them to respect local customs.

4. Stay Hydrated and Use Sun Protection: Sharjah's climate is hot and humid, so carry water, wear sunscreen, and dress in light fabrics. Avoid outdoor activities during peak heat and take breaks in air-conditioned spaces.

5. Understand Sharjah Alcohol Policy: Sharjah prohibits the sale and consumption of alcohol. Avoid drinking in public, but you can enjoy alcohol in nearby Dubai.

6. Respect Religious Practices: Sharjah is deeply religious. When visiting mosques, dress modestly (covering arms and legs), follow local etiquette, and remove shoes before entering. Non-Muslim visitors are welcome but should respect customs.

By the way, visits are free of charge with tours about the Islamic culture at 10am from Monday to Thursday. The exterior is just as spectacular as the interior with a cascade of domes and two growing towers outside, plus it comprises calligraphic inscriptions from the Holy Qur’an and decorated arches, pillars, and domes inside. All ornated through the traditional Ottoman style gracing the skyline of Sharjah.
