1. Check out the fascinating Floating Gardens
The Floating Gardens is situated in Inle Lake, which is also one of the largest bodies of water in the country. What makes this lake special is that the farmers grow their crops on top of the lake, rather than around it. There is much manual labor involved in this as farmers need to bring weeds from the deeper areas of the lake and make them into floating beds of plants. Typically, the farmers harvest crops like beans and cucumbers, depending on the seasons. This is a sight to behold and we recommend that you make a trip down to check out how the farmers go about planting crops on the floating gardens.
