things to do in Porto Cesareo

Porto Cesareo beckons visitors to come over with striking views of the Ionian coast. The seaside boasts a stretch of 17 km (10 miles) of golden sand to tickle your toes. The beach itself faces a series of low-lying islands that meld into a secured bay. There is also a marine conservation area to safeguard endangered flora and fauna of the sea.

The township was conquered by the Romans at one point, and served as a pivotal seaport. Today, it stands as a bay of relaxation, with fishermen going about their work in vividly colored fishing boats while the locals and tourists spend their time at cafes, restaurants and of course, conducting water activities. Feel like heading over to Porto Cesareo for a break? Here are 8 things you can do while you’re there!
