It was established in 1923 and opened its doors in 1924 with the silent film classic called “Scaramouche” and subsequently thrived through the 1920s era. Today, although its primary role is recent movie releases, it also hosts special events such as the Big Screen Classics film show. For their Spring Classic Series in 2017, the list of movies include outstanding classics such as 1982’s adorable musical Annie, 1978’s all-time favorite Grease, and 1992’s memorable A League of Their Own. This vineyard is a well-known reception venue and listed by Martha Stewart as one of the six best wineries for hosting a wedding in New York. This hidden gem in the historic Hudson Valley was established in 1875 by industrialist Charles Pierson. In 2000, brothers Jon and Stephen France purchased the estate and refurbished the mansion and landscape. The newly renovated estate was opened to the public for the first time in 2011 as an aspiration and symbol of sophistication in the region. The vineyard offers wine tasting sessions of their whites range, such as the well-balanced blend of citrusy Sweet Summertime and reds range such as the subtly earthy Cabernet Franc.
