As a huge sports fan, I understand the importance of keeping up with your favorite sport broadcasts. You don’t want to miss a thing! And unlike TV series we can binge watch later, they are best to enjoy live. So, if your accommodation does not provide TV or cable, or you just don’t want to be alone screaming at the TV in your room, these sports bars in Bali are my best recommendations to enjoy all kinds of live sports with an enthusiastic crowd!

1. The Barrel Pub & Grill, Seminyak

Seminyak offers you many options for sports bars. But, I recommend The Barrel Pub & Grill for its strategic location and cozy setting, unlike most bars that are often clustered and dirty. The Barrel is located right across from Seminyak Beach, in the area called Double Six. In conjunction with FuramaXclusive resort, this sports bar offers nothing but exclusivity.

Where ever you choose to sit, there are flat-screen TVs visible from every angle. And there is a big projector screen available. Being an Australian themed bar, The Barrel Pub & Grill usually put on Australian football matches on the big screen. But if you come as a large group, you can reserve the seats in front of the big screen and request whichever live sports game you want to watch. I usually come here with my MMA gym buddies on Sundays to watch UFC bouts.

In accordance with its theme, the foods here are mostly Australian, from grilled seafood to build-your-own burgers. Prices start from 25,000 IDR (approximately 1.75 USD) for dishes like French fries to 165,000 IDR (approximately 11.55 USD) for one pound of BBQ beef ribs. Put some snags on the barbie, mate!

The Barrel Pub & Grill is located at Jalan Arjuna, but it is easier to access from the Seminyak area through Jalan Double Six. It is open from 11:00 am to 1:00 am. Reservations are available with two days prior notice.

2. Finns Recreation Club Sports Bar, Canggu

Finns Recreation Club offers all sorts of fun for everyone around Canggu. Located on Jalan Pantai Berawa, this 4-hectare (9.8 acre) estate consists of a lap pool, water park, spa, restaurants, tennis center, bowling, and of course, a sports bar. To access all of the facilities, you need a day pass which you can get for 450,000 IDR (approximately 31.5 USD). However, the sports bar is open to public without any entrance fee.

Bistro C Sports Bar at Finns Recreation Club is open every day from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. It is an indoor venue with some chairs available outdoors. And each table has its own flat-screen TV. During special sporting events, such as a big football match or boxing World Championship bout, they set up more tables in the lawn area with a huge projector screen setup. A monthly sporting events schedule is available on their official website.

The prices for food start from 35,000 IDR (approximately 2.5 USD) to 995,000 IDR (approximately 70 USD) for a big chef’s tasting platter. A kids menu is also available.

3. Y Sports Bar, Legian

Legian is probably the busiest part of Bali. So, don’t risk getting lost and being late for that live sports match you’ve been hyped about when searching for a good sports bar here. Just go straight to Y Sports Bar, the only sports bar in Bali with a mini boxing ring! Every night on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, Y Sports Bar holds a mini fun boxing night.

Flat-screen TVs are all around the bar and more are located at every angle on the walls to ensure your viewing pleasure. Football and boxing are the main live sports they put up on the screen. A large projector screen is also available during special events. You can check the schedule on their official website.

The foods here are similar to most pubs and bars. The prices start from 35,000 IDR (approximately 2.5 USD) to 255,000 IDR (approximately 18 USD). Y Sports Bar is open every day from 6:00 am to 1:00 am (sometimes even later during special events). It is located on Jalan Padma Utara, at the same location as the Garden View Hotel Bali.

4. Bull Bar, Petitenget

Editor's Note: There's no photo available at the time of writing

I have one specific reason why I love this sports bar: it is located on the first floor of Daily Gym in Petitenget. Hence, this is perfect for those who love sports both as a spectator and as a practitioner. Plus, it is also located in front of Putu Bali Villa & Spa, a Balinese style villa with a village-like atmosphere. Therefore, compared to most sports bars, Bull Bar offers a calmer ambiance except on weekends when they throw in some live music performances. Schedules are posted on banners in front of the building.

Bull Bar is located on Jalan Petitenget, close to Batubelig, Canggu, and Seminyak. It is open 24/7, but most main courses are available during lunch and dinner only. The menu here ranges from Western to Asian and the prices start from 30,000 IDR (approximately 2 USD).

5. James Cook Sports Bar, Kerobokan

Who says a sports bar should be modern and city-like? James Cook Sports Bar blends the modern sporting atmosphere with Balinese traditional architectural design. This place has three large rooms equipped flat-screen TVs, wooden furniture, and surrounding trees. And while most sports bar only cater to adults, this bar has its own Kids Room where kids can gather and spend time playing with toys or video games.

Schedules of what sports broadcast is on can be accessed on their Facebook page. And even if you don’t see your favorite sport on the schedule, you can ask the staff to put it on a TV for you. Sometimes, James Cook Sports Bar holds special events like quiz nights, dart nights, and pool competitions.

James Cook Sports Bar is located on Jalan Raya Semer, Kerobokan. It is open every day from 10:00 am to 12:30 am. The menu varies from pub foods to Indonesian cuisine and prices start from 30,000 IDR (approximately 2 USD) to 199,000 IDR (approximately 14 USD).

Boxing, football, soccer, motorsports, MMA: you name it, they have it!

There is no need to worry about missing out on that spectacular goal or jaw-dropping KO punch even when you are on the go. These sports bars in Bali are here to ensure your viewing pleasure and make sure you have a great time to enjoying it with other sports enthusiasts.
