7. Simple cottage by a beautiful creek
Ah, a cottage by a creek - quite possibly the quintessential image of rural living. This gorgeous cottage house is located in Silver Plume, a small community similar to Bailey. It is close to the major Colorado ski resorts such as Loveland and Keystone. The host has set up a nice, little sitting area to enjoy the tranquility of the mountain stream, but other than that, the cottage is bare-bones with two beds, a kitchen, and a small bathroom. Still, that simply means you are compelled to go out and enjoy the fantastic Rocky Mountains outdoor life.

These remote but beautiful accommodations around the community of Bailey are excellent bases to explore the magnificent Rocky Mountains.
