Chun Shui Tang is a very popular bubble tea cafe chain. It wasn’t always this way though. It started off as just a single drink stand in Taichung. This stand was also the first place to create bubble tea in the 1980s.

The founder Liu Han-Chieh decided to bring ice-cold tea to Taiwan after an experience he had in Japan where he was served cold coffee. On top of that, his colleague suggested adding tapioca to the cold beverage. The restaurants are made to somewhat resemble a Chinese Tea house. Currently, Chun Shui Tang not only makes bubble tea but serves snacks as well. Their most popular bubble tea drinks are the Pearl Milk Tea and Signature Black Tea.
