In a city where its steakhouses, burger bars and all-you-can-eat buffets are as numerous as its famous nightclubs and casinos, Las Vegas is a sinful haven for meat-lovers. Nevertheless, veganism and vegetarianism have slowly taken root in the City of Sin, with several vegan establishments sprouting up all over the city, offering a plethora of plant-based cuisine. Here is a list of 10 vegetarian and vegan restaurants for some clean eating after a night of dirty dancing. Fret not, big eaters – although buffets might not seem like a vegetarian-friendly option, this list includes a vegetarian-friendly buffet as well, so that everyone can have the full Vegas experience.

1. VegeNation

It’s not hard to see why VegeNation is one of the most popular vegetarian restaurants in Las Vegas. With a whopping five menus to choose from (depending on when you visit), VegeNation offers an impressive array of plant-based food, including ethnic cuisine, such as Thai Curry and Vietnamese Pho. Their buffalo cauliflower ‘wings’, coated with a layer of hot buffalo sauce and served with ranch sauce, was the perfect level of spice. VegeNation also sources its ingredients locally, so with every meal eaten there, you will feel good.

2. Simply Pure

A small, cosy eatery tucked in Downtown Container Park, Simply Pure boasts a wholly plant-based menu, helmed by Chef Stacey Dougan. The eatery offers items, such as green chili enchiladas, lasagna and chili cheese fries. Try the lasagna, a cheesy delight made with vegan mozzarella cheese and protein ‘sausage’, which tastes just like its meaty counterpart. The 20-minute wait is well worth it - even former president Bill Clinton, who visited in 2016, is a fan. The angel hair pasta, made with zucchini noodles and served with a generous dollop of sauce is also delicious. Take note, however, that the eatery only seats around 10 at once - be prepared to order your food to-go.
