Kuta Beach is the place to go surfing, whether you are a pro or you don’t have a clue about this thrilling water activity, Kuta Beach is perfect! Steady rolling waves drift to shore in a straight line on most days and on the beach there are lots of surf instructors eager to teach you the tips and tricks with a private lesson! You will get a big beginners board, learn the surfing movements in the sand and off you go into the water to try and master some surfing skills. 8. Eat local food

When the sun is down and the shops are closing, there are lots of evening food stalls opening up. You can try Soto Ayam (chicken soup), some delicious chicken sate with rice or try the Balinese ‘Babi Gulung’ (suckling pig). If you wander a little bit outside of the tourist center, the choices are endless! Another option is to eat at a local warung found right in the heart of the tourist center. Warung Indonesia makes an excellent choice! You can just point at the food you want to go with your rice. It is fresh, delicious and surprisingly cheap!

Go around 6 or 7 am for a perfectly empty 10-meter coastline that runs from the airport all the way to the end of Seminyak, just perfect for beach running!
