Traveling isn’t always about visiting cultural attractions such as museums. Some people may prefer sports, while others are more into nightlife. Brasov isn’t truly known for its pubs, and it is not the Las Vegas or Amsterdam of Romania, but its visitors here can’t complain that they can’t find anything to do at night. Moreover, you can hang out with your friends in some excellent pubs and clubs like the ones we talk about in this article.
1. MOVe Club
MOVe Club is one of the newest high-class clubs from the center of Brasov. The bar serves all kinds of drinks from whiskey, wine, vodka and beer to alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. The place was renovated recently and has a new generation sound system, VIP area and a huge place for parties. We would recommend making sure that you make a reservation before you go because even as big as it is, sometimes it may be very crowded and you need to be sure that you will get a table for you and your friends.

2. The Hockey Pub
Even though the name of the pub refers to hockey, this is not the only sport you can watch over a beer in this location. They actually host very important championships of football and even many other matches that are played by Romanian teams or popular international teams. The Hockey Pub can be found in the historical center of Brasov, and it is open from the afternoon and closes just after midnight.

3. Il Caminetto
This fantastic pub is open only on Friday and Saturday night, and they keep the party going till the morning. This is a very popular location, and it is placed in Piata Sfatului (Council Square) which is the center of Brasov. You can have a great time here while talking with your friends and the music is also great for the ambiance, because they have live artists with music from different genres such as jazz, rock, lounge/chill and dance.

4. Kronstadt Taverna
Kronstadt Taverna is a great place to hang out with your friends every evening from Monday to Saturday. They have a lovely terrace in the summer, but the interior is also great if you’re here in any cold season or on a rainy day. The variety of beverages is high, the staff is very friendly, and the experience at this place is overall very good. The building looks like an old medieval tavern, and the atmosphere with the music makes you feel very comfortable.

Dada Cafe is another great place to hang out, located right in the center of the city, in the Council Square, and it’s open every afternoon until midnight. It is very appreciated by both tourists and locals, the music is awesome, and the bartenders are friendly. It’s a great place to try a new type of coffee or a special tea, and why not even sample some other beverages from the menu.

Here we have another nice pub located very close to the Black Church from the center of Brasov. The location is great especially for gamers because you can play with your friends on Xbox here or you can have fun or party until the morning. The coffee here is great, but they also have fantastic cocktails and shots for every brew lover. Besides beverages and games, at Level’s Pub, you can enjoy great music and all sorts of events with bands and DJs coming from all over the country in the pub.

7. Terroirs Boutique du Vin
Not that far from the latest pub, we have an excellent bar that is mostly oriented around wines, showcasing a great selection with more than 500 types of international and Romanian wines. The location also combines wine with culture and art, providing a fancy setting to enjoy a fine drop. If you want to eat and you can’t decide either to eat before or after you visit this place, maybe you should consider staying here to eat. Besides the great selection of wines, they offer some excellent options for lunch or dinner at the location, and they have the bistro open until midnight. The location is very close to the Old Town, and you can always go for a nice walk after visiting the Terroirs Boutique du Vin.

As we passed through all these different locations, we noticed that the pubs from Brasov are very diversified and you can easily find a place to fit your style and somewhere you can feel comfortable. It doesn’t matter if you’re up for the party, the drinks, the coffee or just want to relax, you will easily find a great place to pick and have a great time.
