Cabo San Lucas is all about the water. Sitting on the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula, it is smack dab in between the Pacific Ocean in the west and the Gulf of California in the east. For visitors to this resort town, that means that there are plenty of places to enjoy the tastes of Mexico, while staring out at the great big beautiful sea. Here are eight of the best places to eat in Cabo San Lucas, with a view of the water.

1. The Office

Posted by The Office on the beach on Thursday, 13 November 2014

Before Cabo became a popular tourist destination, a small palapo (open air hut) was built on Médano Beach, serving up fried fish, ceviche, burritos, and the like, mostly to locals. The coffee was hot and fresh and the cervezas, margaritas, and cuba libres were always cold. Over time, this locals hangout became one of the most popular places to eat on tMédano Beach.

This is real beach dining, with tables sitting in the sand. Feast on a breakfast of shrimp and cheese omelettes, a traditional cazuela soup, made with chicken and rice for lunch, or for dinner, the local speciality: fried whole red snapper. Wash is all down with a freshly made margarita, while the warm waters of the Gulf lap at your feet.
