Located a short walk from Wenceslas Square and the Old Town Square is Design Hotel Jewel. This is a historic hotel in Prague, so some original brickwork dates back to the 13th century. At the beginning of the 20th century, a prestigious jeweler entered the building, and thus the ceiling was painted gold with motifs of jewels. This is where it got its name. The building was turned into a hotel in 1994, and they’ve retained historic elements of the building while creating a modern, elegant interior.
