campsites near flamingo land

The charming village of Kirby Misperton in Northern Yorkshire has been around since the Saxon times, but today it’s more famous for Flamingo Land, a theme park. The origins of the theme park, resort, and zoo go as far back as 1959, and the theme park was named so because a colony of flamingos was the first occupant. During the 1970s, the amusement park rides were the main fixture, and Flamingo Land became Europe’s first theme park-cum-zoo. Today, the place is well-known for a plethora of thrilling rides but is also home to a gym, a golf course, a spa and leisure centre, and a huge collection of static caravans and log cabins. If your family loves all sorts of camping–car or RV–there are amazing campgrounds where you can stay while exploring the area. Check out the top campgrounds near Flamingo Land, UK.
