This historical park has been around since the Edwardian times. Although there has been some changes to the park since then, you can still get a real feel for all things 1900’s. This now modern sanctuary has something for everyone no matter what your age.
There is lots to do in this open space. At the main entrance there are fully equipped tennis courts next to an outdoor gym. Great for active types, they are also free to use.
For nature lovers, there are all kinds of species of tree and plants to enjoy as this is a very well maintained park.
What to do at Goodmayes Park
The huge lake in the main park is home to several different types of duck too. Find everything from the majestic swan family to the smaller species of ducks that enjoy the park too. Visitors can feel free to feed the birds with pieces of bread, small pieces of lettuce as well as cut up grapes for a treat. It’s the best way to make some new feathered friends!

Like the gym and tennis courts, these are also free to use, there is also no time limits on them. Love Parkour? Hone your wall climbing skills with the park’s set of purpose built walls. The park extension is located across Mayesbrook road and are almost always in use. The many local football and cricket clubs often host matches here. Visitors are welcome to watch events during the weekends, a real bonus for sports fans.

Although these are bookable events, details can normally be found well in advance. Goodmayes park is merely a 15 minute train journey from London Liverpool street, and is easy to get to by foot from Goodmayes overground station. Its visitors will find the space to be a beautifully maintained park that is welcoming to all.
