The zoo concentrates its efforts on conservation rather than just entertainment, so you’ll find the zoo taking action to help protect animal habitats all over the world.

ZSL, or the Zoological Society of London, has projects set up all over the world. One example is that they are currently working in South East Asia to prevent damage of Sumatra’s peatland. This is the native habitat for the endangered Sumatran tiger. So by visiting the zoo you are also supporting great works like these. You will be able to find out more about ZSL’s work at the zoo as well as on the ZSL London Zoo website.

Thinking about taking the children along? Perhaps your family are a little older? No need to worry, there really is plenty to do that will appeal to the whole family. Seasonal events are always a big hit with visitors. Christmas, Easter and during school holidays will normally be busy, so it’s recommended that you book tickets for events to avoid disappointment.
