1. The Iron-cast Fountain

The Iron-cast Fountain now proudly sits in the Palm Garden of the famous Raffles Hotel in Singapore. It was built in Glasgow in the 19th century. Made of cast iron, the fountain is 6 meters (20 feet) high and was set up at Orchards Road Market to adorn the place and enhance its aesthetic value. Later, it was transferred to the entrance of the lawns of the Raffles Hotel. The massive Iron-Cast Fountain has added to the charm of the Palm Garden, which is now used as a venue for national and international conferences and meeting events.

2. Tan Kim Seng Fountain

The Tan Kim Seng Fountain was built in 1882 to honor a philanthropist of the same name, who donated a considerable amount for the construction of the first reservoir and waterworks in Singapore. This spectacular fountain is 7 meters (23 feet) high and it has three tiers adorned with the Greek goddesses holding objects to represent science, literature, and the arts. Although bearing Greek classic figures, the fountain was made in the Victorian style. The fountain underwent repairs and it later was transferred to the Esplanade Park.
