Things to do
It might be stunning to see a view of Gardens by the Bay from afar, but the best part is what you really get to see up close. Here are some must-see highlights:
Floral Dome
Bring out your cameras because Floral Dome is a great place to take amazing pictures you can post online. It holds the largest glass greenhouse in the 2015 Guinness World Records so you’ll be surprised by how big the place is. You can also take a stroll to admire the colorful, beautiful, and fresh flowers.
OCBC Skyway
Take a walk around the skyway and you’ll be able to enjoy a better view of Singapore’s famous supertrees and an overall view of the garden.
Light show
Spot the beautiful and breathtaking Supertree Grove at night. One of the most-awaited activities by both locals and tourists is definitely the light show. Have yourself a picnic by the large grass field where you’ll get to see the lights show every 7:45 pm and 8:45 pm.
What to eat
Satay by the Bay
Feast on a delicious meal at Satay by the Bay. It has several food stalls where you can have a taste of their satay sticks, roast duck, chicken, and nice a cup of hot tea. You’ll also be able to admire the view of the Gardens by the Bay from here.
Cafe Crema
If you’re looking for a place to relax and take a break from all the sightseeing, Cafe Crema is a lovely place to visit. This Italian-Japanese cafe serves some of the best selections of coffee, sandwiches, and Japanese donburi. A must-try here is their matcha latte and blueberry pancakes from their all-day breakfast menu.
What to buy
It’s always nice to buy your family and friends some souvenirs to let them know you were thinking of them while you were away. Here are some items you should buy at the Conservatory Gift Shop. You can also check their website to see other places where you can shop. But here are some items you should get when you’re here:
Supertree orchid paperweight
Nothing beats a souvenir that will remind you of how beautiful the garden is. Aside from it being useful, you get to admire the lovely orchids that were preserved and designed with the supertree groves on the background.
Wise Wee and Precious Peggy merchandise
Wise Wee and Precious Peggy are the famous resident bears of Gardens by the Bay. You’ll be drawn to how cute their t-shirts and bags are. These are perfect souvenirs for the young ones.
