Located in west-central Luzon and a part of the sprawling Ilocos region, Pangasinan is one of the many coastal provinces in the Philippines. It stretches from the plains all the way to the Pacific, on a peninsula along the historic Lingayen Gulf.

Like any other province in the island nation, the place is ripe with things to do and places to see. There’s Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Manaoag for the religious and devout, Hundred Islands National Park in Alaminos for the adventurer, and the white-sand beaches of Bolinao, Dasol, and other seaside towns for the beach bum. And we’re only scratching the surface.

For your upcoming trip, here are the best hotels in Pangasinan, Philippines, for every kind of traveler.

We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) Superhost status, recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and amenities. The image galleries get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on April 12, 2024.

1. Lenox Hotel, Dagupan (from USD 49)

Dagupan is one of Pangasinan’s main hubs, and Lenox Hotel sits near its center. Located right in the downtown district, this modern hotel features air-conditioned rooms and suites for guests, some of which come with luxurious soaking tubs. The main lobby is the main gathering spot and is bright, stylish, and functional.

There’s an on-site restaurant (Cafe Feliz), but if you want a more authentic experience, venture out and find a top-rated local restaurant. Dagupan is well-known for its milkfish.

A trip to my hometown, Dagupan City, would be incomplete without trying the famous Dagupan Bangus, or milkfish. This locally celebrated fish is known for its unique taste and tender flesh. To enjoy a true Dagupan culinary experience, I recommend that you go to the Malimgas Public Market, where you can find a variety of vendors offering fresh and delicious Dagupan Bangus. Whether you prefer it grilled, fried, or prepared in various local dishes, this is the place to savor the iconic fish of the region.

If you're staying at Lenox Hotel, you're in for a treat. The hotel is conveniently located, just a 6-minute walk from the Malimgas Public Market. This means you can easily access and explore the market, making it a convenient and enjoyable culinary adventure during your stay in Dagupan.

Calasiao is renowned for its delectable rice cake known as "Calasiao puto." These small, bite-sized rice cakes are a must-try when visiting the area. They come in various flavors, with traditional white and ube (purple yam) being among my favorites. To savor this local delicacy, I head to the Calasiao Public Market, where numerous vendors offering freshly made Calasiao puto can be found. It's a delightful and affordable treat that I can enjoy as a snack or take home as a souvenir.

Additionally, The Monarch Hotel is conveniently located less than a 10-minute car ride away from Calasiao Public Market. This means I was easily able to indulge in the famous Calasiao puto during my visit.
