1. Enjoy a nice walk down the River Market

The diverse range of shops and eateries along River Market will make for an interesting walk. Try the freshly-baked goods, admire the handmade crafts or buy some fresh, locally-grown produce. You can even visit the Steamboat Arabia Museum, an actual boat which sunk in 1856 that’s now preserved as a museum. When you’re done exploring the quaint marketplace, buy your date some beautiful, fresh flowers and hop on the (free) streetcar that will take you back downtown.

The Belger Arts Center is a non-profit organization that boasts a large, rotating collection of fine arts pieces across a variety of mediums. You can spend the afternoon admiring the many wonderful art pieces, or for the more hands-on couple, sign up for a pottery class in the in-house ceramics studio.
