1. Wisconsin Dells Craft Mall

Posted by Wisconsin Dells Craft Mall on Sunday, 14 September 2014

Wisconsin Dells Craft Mall is the largest craft mall in Wisconsin that is open all year round. With over 300 vendors, you’ll find everything that you’ll need in the craft and collectible category including rustic relics, farm house supplies, bird houses, furniture, quilts, bear and deer mounts, and so much more. The mall also has business affiliated tied to crafts outside or just beside the mall including Carver in the Dells, a (you guessed it) carving led by Tony, a Hungarian who moved here to specialize in chainsaw carving. There’s also Red Letter Roasters, a specialty coffee shop, and Broken Bottle Winery. Every year, the mall also hosts an art and vintage market with over 60 pop-ups, held during the popular Who-Za-Wa Days in Wisconsin.

What started out as an intimate mom-and-pop shop on South Park Street which sold artisanal candles and homemade gifts is now a mall that has expanded to create its very own gift department with a huge jewelry line. The gift shop has since moved to the corner of Main and Park and is now called Lorraine’s Mini Mall. Lorraine’s Mini Mall was remodeled in 2007 to house a US Cellular and Home Theater and a Radio Shack, the latter of which was remodeled back in 2014. The anchor store is Lorraine’s Gold Store Crown which houses Hallmark cards, tumblers, Milhouse candles, and some garden items. Lorraine’s Gold Store Crown is where many crafters can splurge on some beautiful hand-picked items. Enjoy!

4. West Towne Mall

West Towne Mall was the first enclosed shopping mall in Madison, having started operations in the 70s. Since the purchase of the mall by CBL properties, it has since been refurbished with a modern skylight, new seating and flooring, and family restrooms insired by the Wisconsin State Capitol with high chandeliers and wooden chairs. It also now includes West Towne Crossing to its immediate west which has a Kohl’s, Best Buy, Shopko, Nordstrom Rack, and Office Max, making it more convenient for those in need of quick errand runs in between and after work. While many of the favorite stores like Sear’s have come and gone through constant reacquisition, you’ll be happy to know that the new replacements like a Total, Wine & More, and a Dave & Buster’s add a touch of newness and freshness to this veteran mall.
