The Parco Delle Rimembranze is located in Castello and is one of the city’s great historical sites. The park is named in honour of those soldiers who died during World War II. 6. Riserva Naturale Di Cava Grande Del Cassibile


The Cavagrande del Cassibile is a nature reserve in Avola. There are a large number of tombs in the park and the main attraction here is the Cassible river. There are small waterfalls and lakes in this area as well, making it the perfect place for hikers. The scenery here is especially lovely at sunset. The reserve also has beautifully aligned caves. The entire view of this place from the mountain peak is breathtaking!

The Cavagrande del Cassibile was built in 1990 for the preservation of natural vegetation and for restoring the Mediterranean forest vegetation. The flow of waterways here also creates an astonishing view. On the north side of this natural reserve is a collection of rock houses, which are known as Grotto of the Brigands. On the south side is Dieri Cavagrande, which is a complex system of rocks that exist on six levels, with each level connected via tunnels.
